Green LED Technology™ American Made

Green LED Technology™ has negotiated with a local LED lighting
manufacturing facility to create a private label line of American Made
street lights.

The United States Department of Energy has appropriated $3.2 billion
dollars in block grants available to U.S. states, territories, counties,
cities and officially recognized Native American Indian tribes. The purpose
of the grant(s), part of the Obama administration’s American
Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009
 (Mar 2009), is to reduce
total energy use and fossil fuel emissions and improve energy efficiency
nationwide.

One of the most notable components outlined in the grant cited as a
qualifying project — is the retrofitting of existing street lights
into energy efficient (LED) street lights. There are an estimated 60
million street lights that can be retrofitted via this program and two
million of them are located in Florida.

Green LED Technology™ research has proven that very few American
Made LED street lights are priced from 75% to 200% more than their Chinese
counterparts, and these high prices make it difficult (to nearly
impossible) for a customer to justify the expense.

Consequently, Green LED Technology™ has negotiated with a local
LED lighting manufacturing facility to create a private label line of
American Made street lights which will be priced at approximately 10% more
than the comparable Chinese-manufactured version.

Execution of this Green LED Technology™ American Made program
will ensure that we hold a unique and favorable position by offering state
and municipal clients the opportunity of either applying for the exemption
or spending just 10% more to benefit from American Made products. Green LED
Technology American Made outdoor lighting will be available exclusively
through its national wholesale distributors.

width="422" />

Green LED Technology™ Street Lighting

Chinese made Green LED Technology lighting products will be sold
throughout the Western hemisphere with large pockets of exclusivity. Green
LED Technology has secured the exclusive right to sell Chinese made LED
street and parking lot lights under the Green LED Technology label. This
agreement is anticipated to produce lucrative profits with extraodinary
sales potential.

Cutting Edge Green LED Technology™

width="270" />A light-emitting diode (LED) is a
semiconductor light source. LEDs are used as indicator lamps in many
devices, and are increasingly used for lighting. Introduced as a practical
electronic component in 1962, early LEDs emitted low-intensity red light,
but modern versions are available across the visible, ultraviolet and
infrared wavelengths, with very high brightness.

The LED is based on the semiconductor diode. When a diode is forward
biased (switched on), electrons are able to recombine with holes within the
device, releasing energy in the form of photons. This effect is called
electro luminescence and the color of the light (corresponding to the
energy of the photon) is determined by the energy gap of the semiconductor.
An LED is usually small in area (less than 1 mm2), and integrated optical
components are used to shape its radiation pattern and assist in
reflection. LEDs present many advantages over incandescent light sources
including lower energy consumption, longer lifetime, improved robustness,
smaller size, faster switching, and greater durability and
reliability.

Green LED Technology™ Advantages

  • Efficiency: LEDs produce more light per watt than incandescent
    bulbs.
  • Color: LEDs can emit light of an intended color without the use
of color filters that traditional lighting methods require. This is more
efficient and can lower initial costs.
  • Size: LEDs can be very small (smaller than 2 mm2) and are
easily populated onto printed circuit boards.
  • On/Off time: LEDs light up very quickly. A typical red
indicator LED will achieve full brightness in microseconds. LEDs used in
communications devices can have even faster response times.
  • Cycling: LEDs are ideal for use in applications that are
subject to frequent on-off cycling, unlike fluorescent lamps that burn out
more quickly when cycled frequently, or HID lamps that require a long time
    before restarting.
  • Dimming: LEDs can very easily be dimmed either by Pulse-width
modulation or lowering the forward current.
  • Cool light: In contrast to most light sources, LEDs radiate
very little heat in the form of IR that can cause damage to sensitive
objects or fabrics. Wasted energy is dispersed as heat through the base of
    the LED.
  • Slow failure: LEDs mostly fail by dimming over time, rather
than the abrupt burn-out of incandescent bulbs.
  • Lifetime: LEDs can have a relatively long useful life. One
report estimates 35,000 to 50,000 hours of useful life, though time to
complete failure may be longer. Fluorescent tubes typically are rated at
about 10,000 to 15,000 hours, depending partly on the conditions of use,
and incandescent light bulbs at 1,000–2,000 hours.
  • Shock resistance: LEDs, being solid state components, are
difficult to damage with external shock, unlike fluorescent and
    incandescent bulbs which are fragile.
  • Focus: The solid package of the LED can be designed to focus
its light. Incandescent and fluorescent sources often require an external
reflector to collect light and direct it in a usable manner.
  • Toxicity: LEDs do not contain mercury, unlike fluorescent
    lamps.

Green LED Technology™ Company History

In 1995, Dror Svorai had already become a very successful business
owner in the garment industry as well as the air ambulance industry.
Indulgence in his hobby of boating and yachting exposed him to the LED
industry. He was re-outfitting his yacht and realized that LED lighting was
the way to go.

His entrepreneurial spirit took over and he opened a small company to
import the very best LED light bulbs and began selling other yacht and jet
owners’ specialty LED lights for their “toys”. This
business quickly prospered and grew into a reliable source for LED
specialty lighting with a customer base that spanned the globe from Miami
to Europe.

In 2003, as the need for energy efficiency became paramount in the
minds of Europeans, Dror expanded his product line to include state of the
art LED Solutions for applications that range from Energy Efficient Street
Lights to a practical LED replacement for fluorescent and incandescent home
and office lighting.

Today, as Americans are becoming more and more aware of the need for
energy efficient lighting, Dror’s ‘little company’ has
evolved into a multinational enterprise with offices and employees on three
continents. Green LED Solutions now stands ready to fill the needs of
energy efficient minded business people and government officials throughout

The United States Department of Energy has appropriated $3.2 billion

of the grant(s), part of the Obama administration’s American
Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009

One of the most notable components outlined in the grant cited as a
qualifying project — is the retrofitting of existing street lights
into energy efficient (LED) street lights. There are an estimated 60
million street lights that can be retrofitted via this program and two
million of them are located in Florida.

Green LED Technology™ research has proven that very few American

Cutting Edge Green LED Technology™

width="270" />A light-emitting diode (LED) is a
semiconductor light source.
