Today’s Pick is GELV

Let’s jump right into it!  Our alert today is on Green Energy Live Inc. (GELV)

GELV is unique in the "Green Energy" space in that it has a
patented energy technology that offers the dual benefit of generating
energy from renewable sources and, at the same time, reducing pollution and
greenhouse gases.

Now, GELV‘s take is a little different than other green energy companies, and a lot smellier!

Their approach is to generate electricity and other co-products from animal wastes and do it in a manner that makes it much more readily
accessible to potential customers.  The side benefit is
that by processing the animal waste for energy it is removed from the waste
stream hence "reducing
pollution and greenhouse gases",
as the company claims.

Last time we alerted members to GELV we cited a report issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture entitled "Manure
Use for Fertilizer and for Energy"
.  Not exactly a coffee table book, but very important to GELV.

The report states that "there is growing interest in using manure as a feedstock for energy production,
driven by rising energy prices and growing concerns over the environmental
risks associated with excess applications of manure nutrients and with fossil
fuel energy production reported"             Link to the report Here

There is plenty of this type of fuel stock in the world.  GELV
quotes the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in noting that one of the biggest
challenges facing livestock producers is managing manure and process water in a
way that protects environmental quality and controls odor.

According to the EPA,
in one day, a cow generates 120 pounds of manure
.
California’s dairies alone produce 70
billion pounds of manure each year
. (You read it right – BILLIONS)
Finding ways to manage such a staggering amount of waste is challenging,
especially considering the high costs of hauling and disposal and limited
landfill space. If this waste is not properly managed, it can contaminate water
supplies, threaten public health and contribute to climate change. (EPA Waste
Management Division, August 2009).

Now, let’s talk
about their "magic bullet":

GELV has technology that will allow it to convert wastes that
are currently being landfilled directly into electrical energy
using a proprietary, patented gasification and conversion technology (Read patent PR HERE) . Their strategy is to acquire or deploy proprietary
technologies that will extract the sugars and starch trapped in these wastes
with small footprint,
low capital cost and low operating cost technology platforms that can rapidly
and economically be deployed to the waste site rather than vice-versa
.

GELV’s website
is a good place to research more details about their technology,
expansion plans, management, etc.  It is packed with good information
on the company.  One item of note is that the company has made a
strategic pull back from the ethanol production arena.  They still hold
patents for producing ethanol from animal waste, but the company is
focusing on their waste-to-energy initiative currently.

GELV
is focused on the biomass-to-energy market and also on
executing an acquisition strategy that has brought immediate revenue
and industry contacts to the combined firms.  GELV‘s first acquisition, Comanche Livestock Exchange,
is a profitable Texas-based provider of live animal auction and hauling
services. Comanche provides stable, growing revenue and net income, an
existing sales channel and strong management. The company has been serving
the beef and dairy industry for 60 years and has an extensive network of
potential customers and industry contacts for Green Energy Live.

GELV‘s chart
gives traders an interesting setup:

  • Volume (and traders’ interest) has remained high in GELV since our alert
  • GELV is trading for less than our alert price in December
  • The MACD continues to trend higher and approaching the
"o" line…suggestive of a bullish trend about to develop
  • Stochastics are at the oversold line and could
    bounce in the near term

In our last alert, we said the following "Super
low-priced stocks like GELV present interesting opportunities for traders.

Even a penny move would create a massive gain…."  We were right
before and could be again.  Do your due diligence and be ready to trade.
