has joined hands with Amdistco for co-branded products with the popular

Amdistco, which currently distributes many categories for Iron

Company Overview
src="http://www.otcpicks.com/images/profiles/vtms/image1.jpg" alt="img"
height="198" />
VitaminSpice is uniquely positioned between the health
food/supplement industry and the traditional food industry by producing
savory spice blends married with proprietary micro- coated essential
vitamins, minerals, nutrients and antioxidants. Through a unique
patent-pending manufacturing process, the nutritional value of any food is
increased. The brainchild of founding President and CEO, Ed Bukstel,
VitaminSpice originated during an “Ah-Hah” moment with his two daughters
while cooking in their Pennsylvania home. What followed was a new line of
spices that improves health and wellness by a medium not previously thought
to add any benefits to food other than flavor. The production process
consists of customizing spice blends with various essential vitamins and
minerals through a patent-pending micro-encapsulation process. Nutritional
supplements are chosen based on customer specific needs and then
microencapsulated to increase the vitamin’s water solubility and heat
resistance.
During this
stage, the vitamins are taste masked and the internal nature is kept intact
up to 200 degrees for cooking use. Next, the microencapsulated vitamin is
blended with various spices to complete the process and yield a final
consumer-ready product. Both the spices and microencapsulated vitamin
ingredients are Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) and undergo multiple
random quality control steps throughout the entire process to comply with
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The result is a neutral tasting,
all-natural, 100% vegetarian, gluten free, calorie free, preservative free
and sweetener free premium spice blend.
Products
The
nutritional value of the product line varies from 17% to 84% of the
Recommended Daily Intake (RDI), depending upon which blend is chosen. With
six various vitamin formulas and six premium spices, there are thirty six
“food-ceutical” product lines.
Premium spices consist of six of the most common finishing
spices:
- Sea
Salt - Ground
Pepper - Granulated
Garlic - Ground
Cinnamon - Crushed
Red Pepper - Italian
Seasoning
Vitamin formulas consist of unique combinations to
enhance and stimulate healthy diets:
- Cardio
formula - Energy
formula - Joint
formula - Immune
formula - Kids
formula - Multivitamin formula

Vitamin-Spice Combo a Win-Win for Retailers
According
to market research publisher, Packaged Facts, consumers are looking at
premium fare that offers not only convenience, but health and nutritional
benefits as well and it appears that VitaminSpice (OTCBB: VTMS) may be just
the ticket, having combined vitamins with ordinary spices.
VitaminSpice is the brainchild of Mr. Ed Bukstel, who was
cooking for his daughters one afternoon when he decided to add vitamins
along with spices to the meal and from there it’s been a whirlwind success
story that has caught the eye of perhaps one of the nation’s icons of
retailing, Mr. Bill Fields, the former CEO of Wal-Mart Stores who was
credited with building the largest discount retail chain in the
world.
“VitaminSpice’s technology and ability to enhance health and
nutrition through the use of everyday products is a real breakthrough,”
said Fields.
Mr. Fields
recently joined the board of directors of VitaminSpice. Fields’ consulting
firm, Fields Texas Unlimited, is charged with introducing VitaminSpice’s
products into the US market. A market where spice sales have been growing
steadily, according to Package Facts’ Spices and Seasonings in the U.S.
report.
The nation
itself has been on a health kick for some time and vitamin sales are on the
rise — perhaps even more so than retailers care to talk about. Wal-Mart
alone has an entire section of their stores dedicated to vitamins and in
the grocery aisle, spices command a respectable amount of shelf space in
the discount retail chain as well as major grocery chains like Safeway and
Kroger’s. But in VitaminSpice’s case, their products will also appeal to
drug chains like Walgreens, perhaps creating a double market penetration of
both grocers and druggists alike.
While
VitaminSpice has yet to announce a major retail chain making room for their
vitamin-spice products, Fields is more than confident that the Wayne,
Pennsylvania-based Company will soon be found in just about every retail
chain, chalking it up to simple consumer logic — “They [VitaminSpice] have
created an easy and convenient format that does not alter the quality of
the base products.”
Nutraceuticals World online editor, Joanna Cosgrove, called
VitaminSpice, “A Company that found an innovative way to boost the
nutritional quotient of everyday seasonings.” Cosgrove noted in an
interview with Bukstel that VTMS’ sales were “flourishing, not just in
grocery and natural food venues, but also in retirement homes and school
districts.”<
